The Victoria Day long weekend is the official kick-off of summer which means many eager gardeners were ready to start planting. The Ancaster Horticultural Society held its annual Plant and Bake Sale on Saturday and it was a big success. The fundraiser allows the group to host gardening programs and to continue their work in the community gardens. Many people were lined up at 8 am with boxes ready to fill and by the afternoon, there was not much left.
