Fundraiser for Vicki Harrison

The local basketball community is rallying round one of its own. Vicky Harrison, a Sherwood Secondary grad, and a member of McMaster’s CIS bronze medal team in 1990, suffered a stroke a few years ago. Her long term disability benefits have been terminated. And so friends have organized a fundraiser for her. It will be held Thursday night at Ray’s Boat House.

The “Rally Round Vicky” will tip off at 7 o’clock and will run til closing. Tickets are $25. The basketball community is strong and supportive, and they’ll want to come out and support Vicky, one of the best female players ever produced in the city.
