Arrest after rooming house fire

No one was hurt but one person was arrested after an overnight fire in an east Hamilton rooming house.

Fire crews were called to the house on Main Street East near Spadina Avenue about 1:30 this morning where smoke was seen coming from the home. A mattress fire was quickly extinguished.

The man arrested was the only person in the house at the time.
