Flamborough party house owner says home was broken into prior to shooting

The owner of an infamous party villa in Flamborough on Highway 6 says they did not allow access to the property prior to a shooting that happened there Sunday.
Hamilton police say they’re investigating the incident that sent one woman to hospital.
Police say the woman is in stable condition but are trying to narrow down suspects and piece together what led up to the shooting.
It comes a little more than a year after one man was killed at the rental property during another party.
“We can confirm that the City’s Licensing and Bylaw Division has not received any complaints regarding a short-term rental operation at 1046 Hwy 6, at any time,” said Dan Smith, (Acting) Director, Licensing and Bylaw Services.
“Given the recent criminal activity, confirmed by Hamilton Police Service, Licensing and Bylaw staff will be conducting a subsequent investigation into the use of this property as a short term rental. At this time, this property is not licensed with the City of Hamilton to operate as a short term rental,” Smith added.
