A fire at an historic building in Brantford is burning well into the afternoon.

The blaze is at the Timekeeper’s building on Mohawk Street.

Firefighters were trying to keep flames from spreading to an adjoining building that was once home to The Cockshutt Plow Company”.

Both buildings have been empty for years, but were designated under the Ontario Heritage Act.
