FedDev Ontario to invest $4M in chemistry centre at McMaster University
The Federal Economic Development (FedDev) Agency for Southern Ontario announced Thursday afternoon a $4 million investment for a new McMaster chemistry centre.
Federal Minister Filomena Tassi visited with members of the university’s Globel Nexus team to announce the investment towards the new Centre for Collaborative Chemistry (C3).
“What is going on here is absolutely brilliant, and how this going to transform health care and discovery… there is so much potential that can lead to better health care,” Tassi said as part of the investment announcement.
The new centre is planned to help provide small and medium-sized enterprises with access to trained and qualified personnel, training, mentorship and collaboration opportunities to develop healthcare solutions.
