Fatal Fall in St.Catharines

A 30 year old man is dead, after falling 30 feet from a tree in St.Catharines today. He was halfway through cutting it when a large limb broke off. The man fell and then the tree limb fell and hit him in the head. Police say it happened around 9 this morning on Elmridge Drive. The man didn’t live at the home but, was doing work there for a family member. Emergency crews rushed the man to the Niagara District Airport and an air ambulance was called, but was called off when he was pronounced dead. The regional coroner is investigating. Police haven’t released the man’s name at the family’s request.
