Fellow migrant workers and local farmers are working together to raise money for the two Mexican men who were hit by a car on Sunday. One man died, and the other is still in hospital. The female driver has not been charged.

Andres had been returning to work for the past 5 years at Connon Nurseries before his death. Jesus who remains in hospital but is expected to be released in the coming weeks has been working there for nearly 11 years. Terry Hubbard is the coordinator of the organization called Migrants Matter. She started a Go Fund Me page to help raise money for the men and their families. Fellow migrant workers from other farms are also collecting money to help the families. All of the money raised will be given to the two families.  Some of it will help to bring family members from Mexico here to Ontario.
