Explosion levels Ohsweken home

An explosion has leveled a house in Ohsweken.

It happened around 9:30 Sunday night on First line near Mohawk Road. All that’s left standing are the basement walls. The people who live there were not home at the time of the blast. As many as 40 firefighters, from Six Nations, Brant and Haldimand Counties were called out. It’s believed there was a natural gas leak, but the Ontario Fire Marshal’s office has been called in to investigate.
