Emergency crews respond to abandoned house fire in Thorold

Niagara police services are investigating as a multiple-alarm fire took place Monday afternoon at an abandoned home in Thorold.
At around 3:15 p.m. officers received reports of a fire on Ormond Street North.
Firefighters say they were able to get the fire under control at around 4:15 p.m.
Officers attended the scene with the K9 unit to look into the cause and the possibility of suspect or suspects.
Police told CHCH News that they are also assisting firefighters as needed.
They say that the fire is suspicious because the building was abandoned.
