Dundurn stairs work begins

Hamilton’s Dundurn stairs will be closed at the top of the access next week, as part of the ongoing construction project on the Queen Street hill.

Hamilton’s public works department says the stairs will be closed, as it begins sidewalk repairs on Garth Street. The stairs will remain open for recreational use, but residents can only access them at the bottom of the escarpment. Pedestrians who use the stairs as a commuting route will need to find another way to get around during this time.
The stairs will be closed from 9 in the morning on Monday until five at night on Friday.
