Drunk driver pleads to fatal crash
A drunk driver who crashed into a family’s car while driving the wrong way on the Garden City Skyway has pled guilty to impaired driving causing death.
Kyle Thomas, from Niagara Falls, was 20 years old when he drove his car the wrong way on the Niagara Street off ramp in St. Catharines and continued until hitting a car head on.
The incident happened in July 2010.
The crash killed a 50 year old man from Kitchener; his wife and children were also in the car.
Thomas will be sentenced in June.
