Drugs taken in Brantford pharmacy robbery

Brantford police are searching for a man who made off with an unknown quantity of narcotics after forcing his way behind the counter of a pharmacy on St. Paul Avenue late Saturday afternoon.

The suspect entered the Rexall Pharmacy just before 5pm as staff were preparing to close for the day.

He went to the pharmacy counter carrying a knife and demanded narcotics.

The suspect was last seen running on Terrace Hill Street in the direction of Paris Avenue where he may have entered a vehicle.

Police are looking for a white male, about six feet tall with a thin build. He was wearing a black or navy blue jacket, jeans and running shoes. His face was covered with a scarf.

No one was injured during the incident.
