Drug arrest in Welland

Niagara police have arrested seven people following a drug investigation in Welland. Police say they started investigating earlier this month after they received a tip that a Toronto based group would travel to Welland to sell cocaine.
Police searched a home on Wilton Avenue in Welland yesterday, where they seized cocaine valued at more than $4600, more than $4000 in cash and almost $2000 in other property.
Seven people have been charged with possession.
