Hamilton police are searching for a driver believed to be involved in a hit-and-run that left a pedestrian with life-altering injuries last week.
It happened around 11:50 a.m. on Feb. 18 at the intersection of Rymal Road East and Upper Wellington Street.
Officers say a 44-year-old man was struck by a Jeep SUV that allegedly ran a red light.
Investigators say the driver briefly stopped but then fled the scene eastbound on Rymal Road East.

The pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Investigators with the service’s traffic safety unit are speaking with witnesses and reviewing nearby surveillance video.
Police are urging the driver involved to come forward.
