A 21-year-old driver is in hospital with what police say are “life altering” injuries after a crash in Hagersville.

Patrolling OPP officers came across a two-vehicle crash on Dry Lake Rd., between Highway 3 and Townline Rd., around 8 p.m. on Wednesday.

The officers called firefighters and paramedics.

A 21-year-old driver was taken to an area hospital and then air-lifted out of town.

Police say it appears a four-door sedan was traveling northbound on Dry Lake Rd. when it collided with a southbound pickup truck.

The 61-year-old pickup truck driver was not injured.

Police are investigating.
