Dr. Tom Stewart out as CEO of St. Joseph’s Health System after Caribbean vacation

St. Joseph’s Health System says it has “parted ways” with CEO Dr. Tom Stewart.

This announcement comes following a meeting of the health system’s board of directors on Thursday and is effective immediately.

In a statement, the board says it will be announcing an interim CEO and president shortly.

Stewart was found to have travelled to the Dominican Republic over the holidays, against public health advice.

CEO of Niagara Health, St. Joseph’s Health System vacationed in Caribbean

It comes a day after Niagara Health announced it was no longer purchasing CEO services from St. Joseph’s Health System.

Lynn Guerriero, current President of Niagara Health, will become president and interim CEO of Niagara Health.
