Downtown Hamilton LCBO closing
Hamilton’s only downtown LCBO is about to close. The Jackson Square location is closing Saturday night at six to make way for McMaster University’s new continuing education centre.
Leasing manager Jocelyne Mainville says negotiations are underway to move the store into a temporary location within Jackson Square. She’s been working for over a year to convince the LCBO to permanently move beside the Nations Fresh Foods store.
An LCBO spokesperson says they’re working on finding another location. In the meantime, employees will be sent to other stores.
