Double Fatal

A three car crash on highway 6 south in mount hope has left two people dead and three others injured. O-P-P Sgt. Dave Woodford tells CHCH News the collision happened around 6:45 Saturday evening near Upper James. Woodford says a Honda veered into oncoming traffic hitting a pickup truck head-on. A Chevy Cruze then rear-ended the truck. A man and a woman in the Honda were pronounced dead at the scene. Another man and woman in the pickup were taken to Hamilton General with serious injuries. A woman in the third vehicle is being treated for non-life threatening injuries. The highway is expected to be closed near Chippewa for hours as police investigate.
