Donald Trump arrives in New York for historic court appearance

The presence of security is heavy in New York City, where Donald Trump will soon become the first president from the United States to ever be arraigned on criminal charges.
Police are preparing for protests by Trump supporters who share his belief that the Manhattan grand jury indictment, and an additional three pending investigations, are politically motivated to reduce his bid to retake the presidency next year.
The former U.S. president is expected to be booked for around 30 charges related to business fraud.
The specific charges in the indictment have yet to be disclosed, but prosecutors allege that Trump falsified business records to enable a $130,000 payment to porn actress Stormy Daniels, who says the two had an affair.
Trump denies the affair and says he made the payment to protect his family, not his presidential campaign.
