Death toll from floods in Libya and earthquake in Morocco grows

The latest on the earthquake in Morocco and devastating floods in Libya.

The death toll in Libya has climbed to 5,100 and is expected to rise even higher in the eastern city of Derna.

Meantime, a little over to the west – Moroccan authorities have reported almost 3,000 deaths from last week’s earthquake.

Rescue and recovery teams in both countries are still continuing to search through the devastation, but access has slowed down their efforts.
