Taylor Swift took home the top prize at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards for her “Anti-Hero” music video, and broke a VMA record.

Swift won nine trophies, including Song of the Year, Best Pop Video and Best Direction.

But as much as Swift dominated, the VMAs centered on music’s global power.

Shakira was honoured with the Video Vanguard Award, while Diddy was presented the Global Icon Award.
