Death of man found on rural Ancaster road not suspicious: police

Hamilton police have launched an investigation after a man in his 60s was found dead on a rural road in Ancaster on Tuesday.

Officers say they were called to the area of Powerline Road West and Bethel Church Road, where a man was believed to be cycling westbound on Powerline Road.

Investigators say the cause of his death is not known but it is not considered suspicious at this time.

Anyone who was in the area between the hours of 12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday that may have information or dashcam footage are asked to call Det. Chris Button at 905-546-2977.
