Daycare employee charged with child porn

A Milton daycare centre employee has been banned from the premises after being charged with several child pornography related charges.

Steven Campbell of Brampton is facing one charge of accessing child pornography and one of possessing child pornography.

A statement from the Milton Community Resource Centre says the news of the investigation is deeply troubling and that they are working with police to help the investigation. The centre also says all staff undergo police checks and screenings before they’re hired.

According to the website, Campbell has been working at the Bronte street school since September of 2013.

Tomorrow morning the OPP is hosting a news conference to outline several investigations into on-line child exploitation arrests, it’s being described as a massive investigation focussing on more than just Steven Campbell. We will have the details tomorrow.
