The Ontario Review Board has ordered a man found not criminally responsible for taking a child from a Hamilton school, to remain detained at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

Dakota Hart had asked to be transferred to the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health in Toronto. Hart has been at St. Joe’s since March.

A psychiatrist testified that Hart suffered from an extreme state of psychosis, and was likely unaware he was abducting a child from Earl Kitchener School last October. The review board also forbids Hart from consuming alcohol or drugs, and ordered him to be under heavy supervision for all outings.
