Cyclist struck and killed by stolen vehicle, 3 people arrested: OPP

Ontario Provincial Police says three people are facing charges after a cyclist was struck and killed by a stolen vehicle.

Emergency crews were called to a collision on Wilson Line, just east of Belmont Rd. in Malahide Township in Elgin County around 4:50 p.m. on Saturday.

Police say a stolen vehicle was involved in a fatal collision with a cyclist.

The cyclist – 59-year-old Michael Smith of London – was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators say the three suspects were arrested and charged soon after.

Police have not provided any further information about the incident.

The investigation is ongoing.
