Crown calls doctor “sexual opportunist”

A crown attorney says drugs administered by an anesthesiologist accused of sexually assaulting 21 women during surgeries were at doses too low to have caused sexual hallucinations.

Dr. George Doodnaught has pled not guilty to 21 counts of sexual assault. The women reported that he kissed them, touched them inappropriately or put his genitals in their mouth while they were under conscious sedation, during surgery at North York General Hospital.

Doodnaught’s lawyer has suggested the drug could have caused the women to have sexual fantasies. The crown says that’s not the case and calls the 64-year old a “sexual opportunist.”
