Crash clogs QEW both ways
A serious crash shut down the QEW in both directions Thursday afternoon.
A cube van rolled over onto a two door car in the Toronto-bound lanes, just under the Third Line overpass in Oakville.
Reports from emergency officials at the scene say that a 60 year old man with a history of heart problems was trapped in the car for almost half an hour. The man was suffering from chest pains and other injuries.
He and another person were taken by air ambulance to hospital. However everyone is expected to be OK.
By 6 pm, Hamilton-bound lanes were open; the collision was cleared away by 6:30 pm.
