Commercial garbage bin worth $5K stolen in Oakville

Halton Regional Police are trying to track down two vehicles in connection with the theft of a commercial garbage bin in Oakville.

Police say the bin was stolen from a commercial property near Wyecroft Rd. and Dorval Dr. around 11:30 p.m. on May 18.

Investigators say at least two suspects drove two separate vehicles to steal the bin, which is valued at $5,000.

Vehicle #1

• believed to be a white freight-liner commercial truck
• had a blue light on the back that turned on when the vehicle was in reverse
• was used to remove the bin from the property

Vehicle #2

• black Chevy pickup truck, full cab
• black tinted windows with running boards and “4×4” decal on rear panel
• yellow tank on truck bed
• decorative orange roof lights across the top of the cab
