Coldest Night of the Year walk

Volunteers gathered in Ancaster on Sunday afternoon for the ‘Coldest Night of the Year’ winter walk that raises money for the hungry, the homeless, and the hurting in nearly 80 communities across Canada.
Volunteers with the 2015 Ancaster Community Food Drive picked up non-perishable donations from 9 a.m. to noon.
Donations will be divided between Neighbour to Neighbour, the Salvation Army, Greater Hamilton Food Share, St. Matthew’s House, Mission Services of Hamilton, Wesley Urban Ministries, Good Shepherd Centre, and Ancaster Community Services and Information.
The Ancaster drive has raised 1,278,000 pounds of food in the 23 years it has recorded totals.
