Child porn charges in Hamilton

An international investigation has lead to child porn charges in Hamilton. A 48-year old man and 41-year old woman have been arrested and charged with making and possessing child pornography.

Interpol in Russia were monitoring file sharing networks and compiled data of users distributing known child porn files. They contacted RCMP about a Canadian user living in Hamilton.

Then on Wednesday, Hamilton police raided a home on the west mountain, seizing electronic devices like computers. The investigation led to the charges of making and possessing child pornography. We spoke with a Hamilton police investigator with the internet child exploitation unit. She says the man and woman lived in the same home. There is one known victim.
