Police say a child was taken to hospital after being struck by a vehicle in Burlington Wednesday afternoon.

Details surrounding the collision that happened near Tim Dobbie Drive and Thomas Alton Boulevard have yet to be confirmed by police.

Officers say the child was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Roads in the area remained open as Halton police investigated.
