U.N. inspectors have officially confirmed the use of chemical weapons in an attack on civilians in a suburb in Syria.

It is the first official confirmation of chemical warfare in the attack that the U.S. claims left more than 1400 people dead, including hundreds of children. In a deal worked out between the U.S. and Russia, Syria has been given a week to list where all of its chemical weapons can be found.

The U.S. has said the regime of President Bashar Assad was behind the august 21st attack, while the Syrian government accuses the rebels.
