Charges laid after pick-up hits pedestrian

A pedestrian has been struck at the intersection of Barton and Sherman in Hamilton.

She’s in her 30’s and was taken to Hamilton General Hospital with serious injuries. Police say a commercial pick-up truck hit her and the driver has been charged with careless driving.

A hazmat team was called in to clean up blood on the road.

Police are investigating but have re-opened all roads.
