A tentative agreement was reached Wednesday night between the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board and its teachers.
This comes as the latest round of one-day strikes by elementary teachers hits three school boards Thursday.
Teachers are out in York Region, the Muskoka and Haliburton area along with Renfrew.
The walkouts will end their first week Friday in Simcoe County, Kawartha Pine Ridge near Peterborough and Upper Grand around Guelph.
The teachers are protesting Bill 115, which allows the province to impose a contract on them and stop them from striking.
Thursday also marks the beginning of work-to-rule action for occasional and early childhood education elementary teachers in nine boards including Halton.
