Maintenance to force closure of Falls’ older casino.
For the first time since the big blackout of 2003, Casino Niagara will be closing its doors to the public.

It’ll be closed from 4am Wednesday until Thursday at 8 am in order to install a new electrical system.

The current one dates back to when the place was known as Maple Leaf Village.

This is the first time since it opened in 1996 that Casino Niagara must temporarily close for building maintenance.

Casino employees scheduled to work during the shutdown were offered paid or unpaid time off.
