Casey Anthony has been acquitted of murder in the death of her two year old daughter Caylee.

Anthony showed no reaction when the verdict was read Tuesday in a Florida courtroom after ten hours of jury deliberation.

Anthony could have received a death sentence if she had been convicted of first-degree murder.

The 25 year old mother had been accused of drugging her young daughter, suffocating her and dumping her body in the woods.

Caylee’s disappearance wasn’t reported for a month while Anthony lied to those around her about her whereabouts and claimed Caylee was with a nanny who never existed.

Anthony was found guilty of four counts of lying to investigators.

She could receive up to a year in jail for each count.

Anthony will be sentenced Thursday morning at 9am.
