Hamilton’s Central Library branch has wrapped up their card access pilot program and is resuming regular operations and public access procedures.
In a post on Instagram, the library says they will review information collected during the pilot such as operational data, incident reports, staff and community feedback, and survey results.
They say reviewing this information will help the Hamilton Public Library determine if the pilot was effective.
Library staff will continue to monitor the Central branch to see if there is an increase in serious incidents following the pilot.
On June 18, results will be presented to the library’s board of directors at the Central branch.
The Hamilton library adds that renovations on the first floor to the former children’s area continue while the new second floor children’s area finishes the first phase of construction.
More information about library board meetings can be found on their website.
