Car into Stoney Creek house

An 83 year-old Hamilton woman is recovering after driving her car into a house Monday afternoon.

Police say the driver became confused, and stepped on the gas instead of the brakes, plowing right into the garage of a home on Panorama Way in Stoney Creek.

The woman suffered minor injuries.

Damage to the vehicle and home are estimated at $60,000.
