Gas and food push cost of living to 2.6% in February.
It’s the second consecutive monthly increase and the overall cost of consumer goods rose by 0.1% during the month from a year ago.
And core inflation, which excludes volatile items such as energy and fresh foods, jumped two notches to 2.3%, which is above the Bank of Canada’s 2% target line.
