Canada’s inflation rate was up 2.4% in September: StatCan reports

Statistics Canada is reporting that the country’s inflation rate grew by 2.4 per cent in September.
This is an increase from August’s rate of 1.9 per cent.
StatCan is attributing this increase largely to the slowing decrease of gas prices and grocery prices rising at a faster rate.
September also saw travel tour prices continue to rise despite it typically going down after August. This is attributed to major events happening in popular travel destinations.
