Canada’s women’s soccer team will play for a gold medal after defeating the United States in the semifinal at the Tokyo Olympics.
Jessie Fleming scored on a penalty kick in the 74th minute to help Canada to a 1-0 victory.
This is the first victory for Canada over the U.S. in twenty years.

Canada will next play the winner of the other semifinal between fifth-ranked Sweden and No. 9 Australia.
The gold-medal game will play out Thursday at 10 p.m. EST at the Olympic Stadium.
Canada captured its last medal in women’s soccer when it won bronze at the Rio Games.
