California wine country ablaze

Historic high temperatures and a lack of rainfall have led to yet another fire in California’s wine country.  The fast-moving ‘Glass’ fire led Sheriff’s deputies to quickly order evacuations in Napa County just before 4 o’clock Sunday morning.  By 7 a.m. local time, the blaze had consumed more than a thousand acres and a hospital in St. Helena had evacuated all of its patients to other hospitals.  By early Sunday afternoon, the inferno was still spreading quickly in the area which houses dozens of wineries.  Fire fighters were reporting ‘zero’ containment as winds were gusting to 100 kilometres-an-hour. No deaths or injuries have been reported.
