Caledonia man charged after attempting to ram an OPP cruiser

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged a 65-year-old man from Caledonia after an attempted ramming incident in Cayuga.

Police say they noticed a motorist intentionally driving towards an OPP cruiser around 1:55 a.m. Wednesday morning.

The officer took evasive action and avoided a collision. No injuries were reported.

Morley Callan has been arrested and charged with dangerous operation and failure to comply with a release order.

He remains in custody pending a bail hearing.
