Burlington man charged in connection with two-year fraud investigation

Halton police have arrested and charged a man in connection with a lengthy fraud investigation dating back to 2019.

Officers say the accused solicited loans and promised victims that their investments would yield significantly high returns in a short period of time, which never happened.

Eight victims gave the accused over $600,000 but they were never refunded.

Police arrested and charged 48-year-old Brian Kumar of Burlington with eight counts of fraud over $5000.
