Burlington faces lawsuits for Brant Street Pier

The City of Burlington is heading to court to face five lawsuits related to the pre-2011 construction of the newly finished Brant Street Pier.
The pier opened to the public last Thursday and was completed by Graham Infrastructure which was hired by the city in September of 2011.
Before then, the city battled a number of legal issues with former contractors and insurance companies. Harm and Schilthuis & Sons swapped lawsuits with the city in 2009, after the company stopped working on the pier, citing design concerns.
The city is in court on Friday in Milton.
