The Bulldogs will be staying in Hamilton.

City councillor Chad Collins has tweeted that the team will stay at Copps Coliseum for several years to come, after the HECFI board voted to allow the franchise to work out a deal to keep the hockey club in the city.

An OHL team had been trying to win the right to use the arena, but Montreal Canadiens owner Geoff Molson had asked Hamilton to extend the Bulldogs’ lease at Copps. The team has called the arena home for 17 years.
