(Updated) Hamilton Police have arrested two brothers after the beating death of a man last week.

Gordon O’Hara, 33, and his brother Joshua O’Hara, 27, were arrested yesterday. It was 7:50 last night when the Tactical Unit from Hamilton Police descended on Roxborough Ave. Surveillance video shows the officers have their guns drawn after they secured the perimeter around the home.

Kayla Froman and her children live at the home. She says at the time Gordon
O’Hara was arrested at Crown Point park just down the street. He was at the park with his two young children. Here is how she describes what happened last night.

“I don’t know. I was just at home yesterday and they came up to me and they told me to come out of the house with my hands up with guns and tasers pointed at me.”

“Thank goodness my kids were at the park. They don’t need to be seeing this.
Then they told me my boyfriend committed second-degree murder and I don’t think he did.”

The arrests come one week after William McConville, who went by the name of Sean, died on May 15th, three days after he was assaulted outside his apartment building at Stinson and Victoria. Police have remained on scene and they have a presence with two police cars out front of the home.

They are waiting to get a search warrant. In the meantime, they are not able to get back into the home.
