A 17-year-old boy in eastern Ontario is facing three counts of first-degree murder after three people were found dead Thursday.

Officers say a woman in her 40s and her daughters in their mid-teens to early 20s were found dead at a home on Cartier Court in Brockville.

Investigators had found the teen in the city’s outskirts where they arrested him.

Their names haven’t been released, but Brockville police say the teen was arrested and the victims knew each other.

The 17-year-old has also been charged with assaulting a police officer.

The accused is scheduled to appear in court Friday for a bail hearing.
