Brock University to pause vaccination and mask requirements effective today
Brock University is pausing its COVID-19 vaccination and mask requirements starting today.
The university says the decision was made based on the province’s decision to lift its vaccine requirements.
Most colleges and universities in Ontario also removed their vaccine requirements earlier this year.
Members of the Brock community are strongly encouraged to get vaccinated. Masks will also be encouraged in settings where physical distancing cannot be maintained.
Masks and/or vaccines may continue to be required in specific research settings, especially for some in-person human participant research. These instances will determined with the guidance of the Research Ethics Board.
The vaccine and mask requirements are subject to change on short notice if the public health situation changes.
